In Week 2, the Year 8 students went away for two nights to camp in Kenilworth. They spent a night in cabins and a night where they had to set up camp and sleep in tents. Our students had a blast on the Year 8 Camp. They were presented with many opportunities for them to serve each other and work together to learn inter-dependence. There were challenges where many of them had to overcome some of their fears but with the support of their group members they managed to trust themselves and conquer their fears.
Here’s what some of them had to say:
One of my favourite things about camp was sleeping out in the tents it was really fun and we learnt more about each other. – Abigail Moss
It’s a lot of fun, and is a great experience to share with your fellow classmates. – Sophie Booth
