For their FUSE studies, Year 7 headed to the GCC farm on Monday to learn how water is used on a typical Sunshine Coast farming property.
The three groups went out separately throughout the day with their PC teachers to learn about water usage, dams, irrigation and the types of crops that are most commonly grown in our local area.
It was wonderful to take our learning into the outdoors and be able to walk around the farm, learning from Mrs King and having the cows, sheep and one dog join our classes in their exploration.
Thanks to Mrs King for an informative and fun field trip, and thank you especially for the take-home samples of fresh ginger!
