Tyler selected to ride at State Championships

Tyler and Lily Short have shown their ability and determination in the sport of equestrian and are tasting success.

Over the first week of the school holidays, Tyler and Lily Short travelled to Rockhampton to compete in the Pony Club Queensland State Titles for Showjumping. They competed over four days against the best riders in Queensland. They both worked hard dominating their 70cm and 80cm Under 12 class. With outstanding results each, they both won and are now both State Champions for their respective class age groups.

Not only did they win but Tyler and Lily placed top four for highest points in the whole zone (State) and Tyler earned a spot in the Queensland team with one of the highest points totals in the state.

Tyler and Lily train hard at their riding and are supported by their whole family who makes these events possible for them. They are dedicated riders and we look forward to seeing their success in years to come.

Their next goal is to compete at PAQ nationals next year.

If you would like to watch a showjumping Competition you are in invited to go along to the Open showjumping Day at the Glasshouse Pony Club at Beerwah Sports Grounds this weekend, Saturday 12 October.
