The power of praying parents

As parents we all want what is best for our children. That’s why you have invested in private education, and work tirelessly to provide for the needs of your children. Some of you spend hours driving your children from sporting events to social events and back again, but how many hours do we spend committing our children to God in prayer?

There are times when even the best parents need to ask God for the wisdom of Solomon (1 Kings 3:5-14).

As pastors of Glasshouse Christian College, we spend a lot of time running Chapels, Bible studies and life skills programs with your children. We would now like to join home and school together by providing a parent prayer time. This prayer time will be held on Tuesday mornings to pray for both the specific and general needs of your children. If you are unable to come due to other commitments we are happy for you to email your prayer request to us at donnanewell@glasshouse.qld.edu.au.

If prayer is a new thing for you don’t worry, we all had to start somewhere. Even the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray (Luke 11:1).

When we come to God in prayer we see incredible things happen. Battles are won (1 Kings 19:20), lions mouths are closed (Daniel 6:21), Jesus heals (Mark 5:23), and forgives (Luke 23:24).

Would love you to come join us for prayer.

When: Tuesdays at 8:30am
