Library News

Merry Christmas from the library team! Thank you for the amazing support we have received throughout the year with the library programs and Book Clubs we run. It is a pleasure to work alongside College families and to promote a love of reading and lifelong learning. We pray that the Christmas holidays will be a time of refreshing and relaxation for families. With Christmas just around the corner make sure you check out the range of books and gifts available via Koorong Online.

Final Returns

All library books, textbooks and devices should have now been returned. There are still a number of items outstanding. These will be required as the new school year begins, so their prompt return is appreciated. Families of students with outstanding loans have been sent an overdue email and the cost of these items will be invoiced if they are not returned by Wednesday 6 December. Please note if lost books are later found, a full reimbursement will be given. Feel free to contact library staff via library@glasshouse.qld.edu if you’d like to discuss any issues.

MS Readathon

Our College helped the 2017 MS Readathon raise an incredible $152,514.25. Wow! That’s going to go a long way towards providing care and support for more than 23,000 Australians who have MS! Completing the MS Readathon gives students a real sense of accomplishment and is a wonderful way of helping others in their community. It also boosts reading confidence and encourages students to explore new genres and writing styles. Thank you to the families that assisted with this in 2017.

Have a safe and blessed Christmas.
