Year 12 Future Pathways

Year 12s begin to put more definite plans in place for life after school and similar to Year 11 are very welcome at any time to come to the department to discuss these.

Year 12s are actively encouraged to attend University and other tertiary provider Open Days and are alerted to these regularly.

Future Pathways Department displays up to date University Information Booklets for students to look through, discuss and borrow at any time.

The students have information sessions on applying for University through QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre). Parents are also informed on the process during our Careers Expo in Term 3.

Interviews are held with Year 12s to check they have applied for the best courses for them and are not having any issues or problems. Students not wishing to go to university have an opportunity to again explore other pathways and help is available at any time.

Students attend our own Careers and Tertiary Study expo in Term 3, along with Beerwah State High School’s Expo, and are alerted to other sessions as they occur.

A range of guest speakers come to Senior Assembly throughout the year to inspire our students.
