The annual Sunshine Coast MLTAQ Foreign Languages Poster competition is traditionally held in Term 1. Due to the current Coronavirus situation and transitioning into home-based learning at the end of Term 1, the poster competition was extended until the end of April.
The theme this year was the Summer Olympics which gave a lot of scope for students to display their creativity and passion for languages, sports and the Olympic games. The Olympic Games are about sporting competition but also about getting to know other cultures, recognising the similarities and accepting the differences.
As we all know, the 2020 Olympic Games have been postponed to 2021. Regardless of this, the theme of sports as a uniting force between nations is always timeless and inspiring.
The following French students placed in the Year 7 French category:
Shilo Crouch – first place
Chloe Turnbull – second place
Nicholas James – third place
Congratulations to all winners for your great achievement!
