Exciting opportunity for your favourite charity

For the past four years GCC parent Amanda Turner has coordinated our school banking and used the banking rewards to support a charity close to her heart. Through the GCC student banking Amanda helped build the Isiseko Educare centre in Cape Town, South Africa. This day care centre helps look after disadvantaged children and is a flagship in the community.

Amanda is no longer able to continue to coordinate the school banking so we are looking for someone to take over this valuable position. As well as benefiting children on the other side of the world the school banking system has been teaching our students the value of saving which is an important aspect of financial literacy. We have approximately 350 students actively participating in the program and would love to see it continue.

The commitment is to about three hours per week (during term time) and Amanda is happy to provide all the training required. You could raise as much as $1300 per year for your favourite charity.

If this sounds like something you could help with then please email the College (admin@glasshouse.qld.edu.au) with your details and we will put you in touch with Amanda.
