Teaching Assistant – Secondary Learning Support

Glasshouse Christian College is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for its Secondary Learning Enhancement Department. The position is full time (8am – 3:15pm) during term time.

The successful applicant will have a minimum Certificate III in Educational Support or equivalent and have experience working in secondary school to support students with learning difficulties and disabilities. Knowledge of effective strategies for teaching literacy to small groups of students would be an advantage. Administration, word processing and organisation skills are essential.

Crossing Guard – Casual Relief

A  position exists for a Casual School Crossing Supervisor at Glasshouse Christian College, you may also need to relieve at other schools.

The School Crossing Supervisor may be required to work five days per week in all weather conditions. The hours of work for School Crossing Supervisors are normally 1.5 hours a day and usually comprise of one hour in the morning and ½ hour in the afternoon.

The successful applicant is dependent on:

  • The favourable outcome of a health assessment carried out by a Government Medical Officer or a duly qualified Medical Practitioner according to the guidelines in the “Notes for Medical Practitioner” on the School Crossing Supervisor Scheme – Health Assessment Form; and
  • A Positive Notice Blue Card (This means you do not need to have a blue card to apply for the position)
